When did the 11th Circuit split from the 5th Circuit

This happened on September 30, 1981. See 661 F. 2d 1206, Bonner v. Prichard. The city of Prichard, Alabama said that all earlier 5th circuit cases serve as precedent for new 11th circuit cases.
