How can I search circuit court decisions and opinions from various circuit courts in Florida and what is the criteria for reporting these opinions?

Answer

Florida Law Weekly Supplement, to which the Research Center has an online subscription, contains circuit court opinions.  It is available to students from off-campus.  From our home page, http://www.law.fsu.edu/library/, click on off-campus access and enter your FSU ID and password.  Again from our home page, click on Research Resources, then on Complete List of Law and Law Related Databases.  Florida Law Weekly is on the list.  Once you enter the FLW site, choose The FLW Supplement, which you can then search.

Florida Law Weekly obtains Opinions from the Florida Supreme Court as well as the Appellate Courts for publication in FLW.

Circuit Court Opinions must be submitted to FLW by Circuit Court judges or individual attorneys for inclusion in FLW Supplement.  Florida Law Weekly is located in Tallahassee.  Their toll-free number is 800-351-0917.
